Summary


We are seeking a Warranty Coordinator to join our team in support of our Louisiana based Operating Assets. This role reports to the Director, Operations Services and will be responsible for developing and administering the organization’s warranty program for equipment specific to various Venture Global LNG Facilities.


The candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the warranty program, utilizing a cross-functional leadership style working closely with internal teams such as Projects, Engineering, Operations, and Purchasing as well externally with OEMs who have supplied equipment and processes to Venture Global LNG’s project.  This role is based out of Lake Charles, Louisiana and has potential to support the various Venture Global LNG assets in Louisiana as those facilities become operational. Key interactions include Louisiana and Houston-based team members, corporate team members, vendors, and contractors. The ability to effectively interface with the Arlington, VA, Houston, Tx and Site Teams is a prerequisite. 


As such, the candidates shall have adequate technical & commercial aptitudes and be able to understand what constitutes legitimate warranty claims and technical issues faced by the Operating Assets.


Location:  Point Celeste, New Orleans *


*Preference for a candidate who has the flexibility to work at our Plaquemines Facility, south of New Orleans on joining and then as the business evolves and if need arises, can also work at our sister facility, Calcasieu Pass 2, south of Lake Charles


General Description Duties & Responsibilities


  • Executes and oversees warranty claims, from initiation to closeout.
  • Applies knowledge of plant operations and maintenance to effectively conduct warranty related matters
  • Supports all data collection that is required to build warranty claims.
  • Update the warranty folders with relevant supporting information.
  • Performs the warranty claims reporting. Creates and maintains database of all claims.
  • Updating warranty tracker with necessary information on claim efforts.
  • Updates dashboard reports and recommendations for progressing warranty claims along with KPIs.
  • Guides the Operations team in properly managing equipment repairs and maintenance in accordance with Contract clauses, limiting Company’s exposure to additional costs.
  • Reviews and analyzes contract records to advice technical and Commercial SMEs to determine legitimacy of claims.
  • Coordinates clarifications & closure with contractors & OEMs on warranty related queries.
  • Supports integration of Company systems to track, monitor and control costs of warranty claims.
  • Ensures accurate utilization of approved systems for document control and updates of warranty claims and repairs.
  • Supports continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Performs additional assignments as required, for Operations Services support.

Qualifications


Required experience


  • 5+ years of Engineering, Warranty or Maintenance experience in an operating facility (Instrument, Electrical or Mechanical disciplines) or Operations/Commissioning experience of responsibility in a similar scale LNG facility
  • Experience with the implementation and end to end execution of a Warranty Program.
  • Ability to understand technical drawings, plant operations and maintenance processes and activities, plant equipment failure and troubleshooting mechanisms, across the facility and disciplines.
  • Ability to work in Computerized Maintenance Management System (SAP) and pull data as needed.
  • Ability to work in large scale databases where engineering documents are stored.
  • Excellent organization and planning skills, with ability to gather and summarize technical data, root cause analysis reports, etc to identify path forward and utilize in claims.
  • Experience with claims procedures required in the Oil & Gas sector.
  • Knowledge of contract agreements and effective warranty claim processes required.
  • Knowledge of various methodologies for claims pricing and preparation.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with external stakeholders such as vendors, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders such as operations, engineering, maintenance teams.
  • Project Management Tools including Microsoft Office Suite; Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint, SAP and CMMS.
