Job DetailsJob Location: Rochester Hills - Rochester Hills, MI 48307Salary Range: $20.00 - $23.00 HourlyJob Summary Ear, Nose & Throat Consultants (ENTC), with multiple locations throughout Oakland, Wayne, and Macomb Counties, is seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and patient-focused Surgical Scheduler to join our growing ENT and Facial Plastic Surgery team. The Surgical Scheduler plays a critical role in coordinating the patient surgical experience from consultation through post-operative care. This position supports both functional ENT procedures and facial plastic/cosmetic surgeries by ensuring accurate scheduling, insurance coordination, operating room logistics, and communication between patients, physicians, hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, and clinical teams. The ideal candidate is highly organized, thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates effectively, and demonstrates professionalism consistent with our patient experience standards. This position requires on-site presence and cannot be performed remotely. Duties/Responsibilities:  Schedules patient procedures to ensure efficient and accurate processing of information for procedures in the operating room Coordinate surgeries across hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, and office-based procedure settings Board surgical cases with outside facilities and ensure all required information is submitted accurately and within required timeframes Coordinate operating room availability, physician schedules, equipment needs, and case timing Schedule pre-operative, post-operative, and follow-up appointments related to surgical procedures Maintain surgery calendars and assist with optimizing physician block utilization and operating room efficiency Coordinate multi-provider and complex surgical cases when applicable Verify insurance eligibility and benefits related to surgical procedures   QualificationsEducation, Training and Experience: Minimum of 2 years of medical office experience required (Surgery Scheduling Experience Preferred) Must be able to communicate verbally and non-verbally in a professional manner Ability to use time wisely in preparing work area to meet high-paced demand Show a genuine desire to work and improve the practice as a whole Strong insurance background, preferred  Strong medical terminology Must demonstrate excellent phone etiquette and exceptional customer service skills Minimum of high school diploma Qualifications:  Medical experience, preferred Boarding experience, preferred Ability to work with computers and data entry Thorough understanding of insurance concepts, including deductibles, co-pays, co- insurance, and out of pocket maximums  Basic understanding of medical terminology and processes; including HIPAA regulations, insurance registration, etc. Must be patient-focused Must be a team player, as well as capable of working independently Able to work in a high-volume practice Self-motivated with ability to take direction well and multi-task
