The Quality Manager is a hands-on quality leader supporting the Tucker manufacturing operation. This role is responsible for maintaining AS9100 certification, strengthening quality systems and lab capability, partnering closely with Operations to prevent recurring issues, and improving training and technical knowledge across Quality and Operations. The position offers high visibility as the site refreshes the LPS Max product line and continues cultural change with new Operations leadership.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Â
- Lead the site Quality function and promote, establish, maintain, and continuously improve quality procedures, standards, specifications, and processes to support the Quality Management System (QMS) and compliance with AS9100 and ISO 9001 requirements.
- Develop, obtain approval for, implement, and manage the site Quality Plan to ensure achievement of quality and business objectives.
- Manage, train, coach, and develop Quality Department staff; establish performance goals, provide ongoing performance feedback, and develop talent for future opportunities.
- Manage QMS training for site employees, including applicable Standard Operating Procedures, quality requirements, and related processes.
- Provide Quality oversight and technical leadership for production and business processes, partnering closely with Operations to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve recurring quality issues.
- Investigate non-conformances and manufacturing abnormalities; conduct root-cause analysis, calculate and provide direction on batch adjustments, and lead implementation of effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Supervise and maintain the Quality Laboratory and Laboratory Safety and Chemical Hygiene Plan, ensuring Quality Technicians are appropriately trained on test methods, labels, SDS controls, equipment, and applicable safety requirements.
- Oversee analytical testing instrumentation, laboratory processes, and test methods. Evaluate methods for accuracy, consistency, and relevance, and develop or improve methods as necessary to minimize variation.
- Manage customer complaints and quality-related issues across Operations, customers, and suppliers; analyze complaint data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Lead and support internal and external quality audits and ensure appropriate corrective actions are implemented and sustained.
- Establish, monitor, and report key Quality metrics, including Cost of Quality, plant-accountable complaints, internal rejections, and testing turnaround time.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean, Six Sigma, root-cause analysis, and other problem-solving methodologies.
- Support the Design Control Process and Quality requirements associated with new product development, product changes, and the LPS Max product line refresh and reinvigoration.
- Partner with Operations to ensure appropriate Quality coverage for production activities, including serving as backup for critical Quality activities when needed.
- Represent the company in customer, supplier, regulatory, certification, and other quality-related meetings and audits.

- Travel is needed to support business needs and perform other duties as assigned.
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:Â
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, or a related field directly applicable to Manufacturing Operations or Quality Systems. Experience in the chemical industry or aerosol manufacturing is preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years of Quality experience in a manufacturing environment, including at least two (2) years of supervisory experience.
- Experience implementing, validating, and auditing quality processes and procedures, preferably within ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 quality management systems.
- Demonstrated experience investigating non-conformances, performing root-cause analysis, implementing corrective and preventive actions, and driving sustainable process improvements.
- Experience specifying, conducting, evaluating, and troubleshooting analytical testing procedures and laboratory test methods.
- Experience implementing continuous improvement methodologies and practices; Lean and/or Six Sigma experience preferred.
- Ability to effectively address quality-related matters with customers, suppliers, regulatory agencies, and certification/registration bodies; working knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements, including OSHA and EPA.
- Strong leadership skills with demonstrated ability to establish expectations, develop employees, manage performance, and build high-performing teams.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, time-management, and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and drive results in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Self-motivated and adaptable with an entrepreneurial mindset; demonstrates initiative, ownership, and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across the organization.
- Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, presentation, and collaborative communication skills across all levels of the organization and with external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Compensation Information:
The salary for this role is $90,000.00 - $114,000.00 This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
