Job DetailsJob Location: NEUROLOGICAL ASSOCIATES OF TUCSON PC - TUCSON, AZ 85718Position Type: Full TimePosition Summay: Supervises daily clinical operations of the Surgery Center and manages the clinical and clerical staff in accordance with established Federal, State and accreditation regulations and guidelines, as well as established Surgery Center policies and procedures. Oversees patient care activities in preoperative, postoperative and intraoperative. Purchasing of required supplies, controlled drugs, and equipment. Responsible for staff development, orientation and staff discipline and appraisals. Leadership Responsibilities Lead daily clinical operations and patient care delivery. Supervise, coach, and evaluate clinical staff. Develop departmental goals and performance expectations. Promote patient safety, teamwork, and service excellence. Collaborate with physicians and executive leadership. Lead quality improvement and operational initiatives. Support employee development and succession planning. Participate in leadership committees. Essential Functions Direct preoperative, intraoperative, postoperative and discharge services. Ensure compliance with clinical standards and policies. Manage staffing, scheduling and productivity. Monitor patient outcomes and quality metrics. Coordinate orientation, competency validation and performance evaluations. Participate in recruitment, retention and corrective action. Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions. Oversee inventory, equipment, purchasing and supply utilization. Develop and monitor departmental budgets. Maintain positive physician, patient and employee relations. Regulatory Compliance Maintain compliance with CMS, Arizona licensing, HIPAA and OSHA requirements. Support accreditation readiness and quality audits. Oversee infection prevention and controlled substance accountability. QualificationsQualifications Minimum: Current Arizona RN license; BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications; three years of progressive perioperative nursing experience with supervisory responsibilities. Preferred: BSN, ambulatory surgery center leadership experience, QAPI and accreditation experience. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Strong clinical leadership and communication skills. Knowledge of ambulatory surgery center operations. Budgeting, quality improvement and analytical skills. Ability to mentor multidisciplinary teams. Proficiency with Microsoft 365, EMR systems and Paycom.
