Position SummaryÂ
Performs cardiac diagnostic procedures including Echocardiograms, Trans-Esophageal Echo and Stress Echos. Ensures high quality test are performed and reports are properly forwarded into Physician reading station and charges are done on a daily basis. Responsible for the clinical oversight for the echo exam quality, MD reporting process and PI reporting of MD reading dataÂ
Responsibilities
- Examines requisition, obtains history, reviews patient chart to verify procedure requested, patient's condition and special instructions for the exam.Â
- Ensures adequate clinical history is available to correlate with procedure requested.Â
- Proficient in the use of the Radiology Information System.Â
- Maintains knowledge in physics, anatomy, techniques, medical terminology and knowledge in aseptic techniqueÂ
- Supervises and teaches procedures to students and completes clinical evaluation forms.Â
- Other duties as assignedÂ
Qualifications
- Minimum RequirementsÂ
- Education: Graduate of accredited school of ultrasound or echocardiographyÂ
- Experience: 1 yearÂ
- Licensure/Certifications: Registry eligible and BLSÂ
- Preferred RequirementsÂ
- Licensure/Certifications: RDMS or RDCSÂ
