Via Elegante is seeking a dependable, skilled, and service-focused Maintenance Technician to help maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our residents, families, and team members.

In this hands-on role, you’ll keep our community running smoothly by completing work orders, performing routine repairs, maintaining buildings and grounds, preparing resident rooms, and responding to facility needs. You’ll play an important part in ensuring our community meets the highest standards for safety, cleanliness, comfort, and regulatory compliance.

What You’ll Do

  • Complete maintenance work orders accurately, efficiently, and professionally.
  • Perform routine repairs involving electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, drywall, appliances, flooring, doors, and general building maintenance.
  • Support basic HVAC maintenance, roof repairs, lighting repairs, and equipment upkeep.
  • Prepare resident rooms for tours, move-ins, and move-outs.
  • Assist with moving and setup of furniture, equipment, and resident belongings.
  • Support landscaping, outdoor maintenance, cleaning, and overall community appearance.
  • Conduct routine safety and facility inspections and promptly address identified concerns.
  • Identify and report hazards, damaged equipment, and needed repairs.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and communicate supply and equipment needs.
  • Assist with emergency and after-hours maintenance needs when scheduled or on-call.
  • Work collaboratively with residents, families, staff, vendors, and leadership while minimizing disruption to residents.
  • Support compliance with AZDHS, OSHA, HUD, and company safety standards.
  • Assist with safety programs and training as needed.
  • Help create an environment that is safe, respectful, comfortable, and welcoming for every resident.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is hands-on, dependable, self-motivated, and solutions-oriented with strong attention to detail and a commitment to excellent customer service.

Qualifications include:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in building maintenance, facilities, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting/drywall, carpentry, building systems, and general repairs.
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems and work independently with limited supervision.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to read and follow safety rules, maintenance instructions, and procedures.
  • Professional and courteous demeanor when working with residents, families, employees, and vendors.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Teams, Windows, and internet-based applications.
  • Valid Arizona driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
  • Access to a private vehicle for business use.
  • Ability to meet applicable assisted living regulatory and employment requirements, including background screening, drug testing, fingerprint clearance requirements, and required training.

Physical & Work Requirements

This is an active, hands-on position. The Maintenance Technician must be able to regularly lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 75 pounds, as well as bend, reach, push, pull, squat, kneel, climb, and stand for extended periods.

The position may include days, evenings, weekends, emergency response, and on-call responsibilities as needed.
