Production Controller | Children’s Books | London | Permanent

Our partner: Our partner is looking for a Production Controller to join their team. This is a varied position where you will be involved in all aspects of the production process, from preparing files to liaising with suppliers and ensuring projects are delivered smoothly.

Responsibilities:

Overseeing reprint file workflows, working closely with creative teams to ensure accuracy at every stage.
Coordinating with colleagues across departments and with external suppliers to confirm material requirements and share information clearly.
Taking responsibility for shipping arrangements on all production orders.
Keeping the production team and wider business updated on schedules and product development.
Supporting the office with general administrative tasks when required.

Experience and skills that will deliver success in this role: We’re looking for someone with production experience in publishing, ideally with a background in illustrated or novelty formats. You’ll be proactive, organised, and ready to play a key role in the team’s success.

A solid background in book production, ideally with experience in children’s publishing.
Confidence in handling supplier relationships and negotiating effectively.
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to balance several projects at once.
A clear understanding of how to plan and manage production schedules and workflows.
Knowledge of safety standards and testing procedures for children’s products would be an advantage.
