Schedule:  Full-time | Monday - Friday 8:00a - 5:00p

How you'll make an impact in this role

• Transform patient records into accurate care stories by evaluating clinical charts and applying precise diagnostic and procedural codes, directly driving accurate reimbursement and flawless claims processing.

• Bridge clinical care and financial integrity by identifying complex diagnoses and procedures, ensuring every aspect of patient care is properly captured and billed.

• Collaborate directly with physicians to clarify ambiguous documentation, fostering open communication that elevates health record quality and protects compliance standards.

• Champion coding accuracy and team growth through regular chart audits and continuous clinical education for both providers and peers.

• Uphold industry excellence by maintaining high productivity and quality standards while strictly adhering to AHIMA ethical coding guidelines and regulatory updates.

What minimum qualifications you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• One or more of the following required:
  • Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) credentialed from the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Certified Professional Coder (CPC) credentialed from the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Coder obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Reg Health Info Admnstr credentialed from the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Reg Health Info Tech credentialed from the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
  • Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

What additional requirements you'll need

• Previous coding experience preferred
• Comfortable with coding different specialties 
• Must live in Oklahoma as this job is on site.
