We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our pharmacy operations in the Tulsa market. The Pharmacy Technician will work directly with pharmacists and other team members to support prescription processing, patient service, insurance billing, inventory management, and day-to-day pharmacy operations. The ideal candidate is organized, accurate, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and committed to providing excellent service to patients and healthcare partners. QualificationsKey Responsibilities Receive and process prescription orders accurately and efficiently. Enter patient, prescription, prescriber, and insurance information into the pharmacy system. Prepare, count, label, package, and stage prescriptions for pharmacist verification. Process prescription insurance claims and assist with rejected claims, prior authorization requests, and other billing issues. Communicate professionally with patients, prescribers, physician offices, insurance companies, and other healthcare partners. Answer incoming pharmacy calls and route clinical questions to the pharmacist when appropriate. Maintain accurate patient profiles and prescription records. Assist with prescription refills and coordinate pickup or delivery as applicable. Maintain appropriate medication and supply inventory levels. Receive, check in, organize, and stock wholesaler and vendor orders. Monitor inventory for expired, damaged, recalled, or short-dated products. Assist with inventory counts, returns, and purchasing activities. Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant pharmacy work environment. Protect patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements. Follow all applicable federal and Oklahoma pharmacy laws, regulations, company policies, and procedures. Assist pharmacists and pharmacy management with additional operational duties as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Current Oklahoma Pharmacy Technician permit/registration, or ability to obtain required credentials prior to performing technician duties. Previous retail, independent, specialty, compounding, or other pharmacy experience preferred. Experience processing third-party prescription claims is strongly preferred. Familiarity with PBMs, insurance rejections, DUR messages, refill-too-soon issues, prior authorizations, and coordination of benefits is a plus. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Excellent communication and customer-service skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities. Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn pharmacy management software. Preferred Experience Candidates with experience in independent pharmacy operations are especially encouraged to apply. Experience with prescription billing, inventory management, wholesaler ordering, patient assistance, specialty medications, or pharmacy delivery operations is a plus.
