Sonic Summary

The level I Physical Therapist, under the guidance of the Manager of Rehab Medicine and experienced Physical Therapists, evaluates and treats patients with disabilities, injuries, diseases, or amputations to promote independence and performance.
This role involves planning treatment programs and administering modalities as prescribed by the patient's physician within an interdisciplinary environment.
The therapist is responsible for documentation and communication of all necessary information to relevant parties and may supervise Physical Therapist Assistants.
Candidates should have at least 1 year of experience in a related field to qualify for this position.
The salary for this role is competitive and commensurate with experience.

Under the guidance of the Manager of Rehab Medicine, and level II and III Physical Therapists, the level I Physical Therapist is responsible for the evaluation and treatment of the patient's needs following disability, injury, disease or amputation, to help attain a maximum level of independence and performance. The therapist plans treatment programs and administers modalities and other related procedures, under the prescription of the patient's physician. Treatment will be provided in an interdisciplinary environment consistent with the position's qualifications, professional practices and ethical standards. He/she is responsible for documentation and communication of all necessary information to all appropriate parties. The therapist is responsible for care of patients in all patient care areas of OSU Medical Center, as situation requires. The therapist may also supervise Physical Therapist Assistants. The therapist must follow standards of performance for Physical Therapy as established by all governing bodies. He/she also performs other duties as required.

Qualifications

Education: Graduate Degree in Physical Therapy preferred

License/Certification: Valid State of Oklahoma PT License and BLS required
