This includes ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards, managing financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and providing strategic financial insights to support business decisions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting, with specific experience in food manufacturing or in related industry.Job Duties: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Analyze financial performance and provide actionable insights to management to drive improvements and support strategic decision-making. Coordinate with internal departments to ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial data. Oversee cost accounting systems to track and report on manufacturing costs, including direct labor, raw materials, overheads, and variances. Analyze production costs and recommend cost-saving strategies. Work closely with the operations team to ensure the accurate allocation of costs. Lead the preparation and monitoring of annual budgets, providing financial forecasts and variance analysis. Collaborate with department heads to develop departmental budgets aligned with company financial goals. Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial data. Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, tax laws, and food manufacturing industry standards. Coordinate and oversee audits (internal and external), ensuring all necessary documentation and information is prepared and available. Oversee cash flow management, including forecasting and monitoring working capital requirements. Ensure timely payment of invoices and management of company’s cash position. Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals. Provide training and development opportunities for staff to ensure continuous professional growth. Foster a collaborative and positive work environment within the finance team. Oversee the use and optimization of ERP software for financial reporting and accounting processes. Recommend and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce errors. Assist with special projects, financial analysis, and ad hoc reporting as requested by senior management. Stay up to date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred). Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a senior financial or accounting role, with at least 3 years in the food manufacturing industry or similar environment. Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory management, and manufacturing processes. Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Sage, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills. In-depth knowledge of financial regulations and accounting principles (GAAP, IFRS). Proven ability to analyze financial data and translate it into actionable insights. Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
