Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Scientific Molding RJG or Injection Molding course work.
  • 2+ years of performing similar molding responsibilities (over 5 preferred) : set up mold, cycle time, programming -  with automotive molding experience preferred - but not required
  • Technical experience in plastic injection molding
  • Experience maintaining auxiliary equipment
  • Setups and changeovers.
  • Hands-on, fast-paced environment


Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of process troubleshooting using scientific molding methods i.e. RJG is preferred
  • Knowledge of auxiliary equipment - hydraulics, mold temperature controllers, hot runner controllers, sprue pickers, robots.


Main Tasks:

  • Setup and troubleshooting of injection molding machines
  • Maintain flow and quality of parts being produced
  • Communicate process changes with the team
  • Prepare equipment for opening/shutdown ensuring heat and auxiliary equipment are properly adjusted
  • Assist with installation of dies according to specs using clamps, bolts, and hand tools
  • Set up and implement pre- and post-molding auxiliary equipment
  • Set up new orders and get parts running to print.
  • Responsible for changeovers and tooling cleanouts and storage and mold changes.   
  • Set up new product runs and do trials.
  • Startups and shut downs as well as troubleshooting.
  • Continuous improvement in your area.
  • Monitor the bottle production line and assure continuous flow of bottles throughout production.
