Job DetailsJob Location: Air Rover - Tyler, TX 75708Salary Range: $18.00 - $25.00 HourlyRole Overview   The HVAC Runout Technician is responsible for testing all of the environmental control units (ECUs) as they roll out of the assembly line to ensure they meet product specifications. This position is assigned to Air Rover, a member of the Western Protective Solutions family located in Tyler, Texas and will report to the Production Supervisor.     Responsibilities  Interpret technical drawings and cut sheets Set up ECUs for testing Troubleshoot ECU faults Charge/Discharge of refrigerants safely Collect testing data and measurements to ensure proper operation Alert management of any non-conformities Complete all tasks and assignments in a timely manner Maintain sufficient output to keep pace with production Flex from task to task as production needs dictate Assist in improving work instructions and processes Understand and observe all safety procedures and practices in order to prevent injury to self or co-workers; attend periodic safety meetings as required; recommend changes to improve safety procedures. Interact with coworkers in a positive and encouraging manner Supports 6S/workplace organization goals of the department and offers suggestions and makes improvements that assist in achieving the department’s performance board metrics. Read and interpret company documents, such as safety rules, operating/manufacturing instructions, policy and procedure and blueprints Keep workplace clean, tidy and in good condition. Return all tools and equipment to their designated spot after each use. Regularly inspect, clean equipment, notify supervisor and/or facilities maintenance immediately of machines or equipment needing repair or maintenance, and take any damaged or worn tools out of service. Other duties as assigned Qualifications    Key Attributes Good mechanical aptitude Able to problem-solve using existing procedures Good interpersonal and communication skills Ability to prioritize and accomplish tasks in a fast-paced environment Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail       Physical Requirements Ability to lift/ move up to 50 pounds of material without assistance. Ability to lift over 50 pounds with assistance from others Ability to crouch, bend or stand for long periods of time  Ability to perform hand and wrist assembly involving repetitive motion Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts produced Good manual dexterity required to work with both small and large parts as well as various tools and power tools       Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent EPA 608 Certification Minimum 2 years of commercial HVAC experience or a 2-year degree in a related field Ability to read and interpret electrical/control wiring schematics and line diagrams Experience with testing equipment such as multimeters and digital gauges Basic understanding of electrical appliances and HVAC refrigeration cycle Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office products
