Job DetailsJob Location: Tyler, TX 75701Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $22.00 - $28.00 HourlyPOSITION SUMMARY The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) delivers high-quality, compassionate direct patient care within their defined scope of practice. Operating under the direction of Registered Nurses (RNs) or Physicians, the LVN monitors patient health, administers treatments, and assists with daily living activities. This role bridges the gap between medical staff and patient comfort, ensuring clinical accuracy and an optimal healthcare environment.   ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Clinical Care & Monitoring Track vital signs: Measure and record blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, and respiration. Assess patient status: Observe changes in physical or mental condition and report them to supervisors. Perform clinical treatments: Care for wounds, change dressings, insert catheters, and collect lab specimens. Medication Administration Deliver medications: Administer oral, topical, and routine injectable medications safely. Monitor drug reactions: Watch for adverse side effects and document patient responses. Manage IV lines: Monitor regular intravenous fluid flows based on state regulations and certifications. Patient Support & Hygiene Assist daily living: Help patients with bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, and personal hygiene. Support mobility: Turn, position, transfer, and walk patients safely to prevent injuries. Ensure safety: Maintain a clean, hazard-free environment for all patients. Documentation & Communication Update medical charts: Log patient treatments, medication administration, and vital signs accurately. Coordinate care teams: Share critical patient status updates during shift handoffs. Educate families: Explain discharge instructions, routine home care, and wellness steps. QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS: LVN required
