Job Details: Job Location: American Eagle Paper Mills - Tyrone, PA, Position Type: Full Time, Education Level: 4 Year Degree, Salary Range: Undisclosed, Travel Percentage: None, Job Category: Manufacturing, OB TITLE:                             MACHINE ROOM PROCESS ENGINEER DEPARTMENT NAME:    PAPER MACHINE 3LOCATION:                         MACHINE ROOMREPORTS TO:                     RICE, JONATHAN Job Description & Duties:The Machine Room Process Engineer will be responsible for developing and implementing process strategies for the machine room and quality department, managing process resources, optimizing current processes, and maintaining process documents.  This list is not all-inclusive and additional duties may be assigned based on workload and operational needs.  Safety & Compliance: Follow all mill and department and mill-wide safety policies and procedures. Follow all lockout/tagout requirements. Model safety standards by wearing the required PPE and maintaining a safe and clean working area. Enforce all safety policies and demonstrate personal accountability for safety. Identify and report safety hazards, stop unsafe work, and help remedy technical safety concerns. Complete all necessary safety training. Job Responsibilities: Work with Machine Room supervisor and operators to identify and correct process, quality, and safety problems for both paper machines. Complete work orders for malfunctioning equipment that require the maintenance department. Update documentation for the machine room department including SOPs, LOTO sheets, and equipment inspection forms. Develop a safe roll handling program at the winders and in the finishing department. Identify cost savings initiatives. Qualifications: Qualifications and Competencies:  Bachelor's degree in chemical, mehanical, electrical, or electromechanical engineer with a minimum 3.0 GPA Proven work experience as a process engineer. Experience with process simulations and standard operation procedures. High-level knowledge of process engineering software systems. Experience working with CAD and AutoCAD. Advanced technical skills. Proven decision-making skills and demonstrated leadership ability. Willingness to learn and take initiative in supporting production needs. Reliable team player with a positive and proactive work ethic. Work Environment:  Work in a production facility exposed to extreme heat and humidity. Exposure to loud noise, moving machinery, and wet surfaces. Requires standing, walking, bending, and operating equipment for extended periods. Requires lifting, pushing, and pulling materials up to 50lbs. Shift work required, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
