Operations Manager

ViridianStaffing's Client is looking for an exceptional people manager to join as theOperations Manager, overseeing their warehouse and distribution facility about30 minutes north of Ukiah/ 90 minutes north of Santa Rosa.

In this role, youwill have the opportunity to oversee distribution/facility functions and ensurethat SOP's are being followed.  You willuse your leadership and team management skills to supervise the operations team,providing training, support, and managing performance expectations. You willhave the opportunity to also oversee the maintenance and security of thefacility, including any potential facility upgrades and working with externalcontractors.  Since you are highlyorganized and a good time manager, you'll make sure that both inventory anddispatch operations are managed in the most efficient way possible. You'll beresponsible for implementing and managing inventory control procedures and areknown for your ability to develop these procedures in a way that maintainsoptimize inventory levels and minimizes discrepancies. Ideally, you also bringwith you some knowledge of cannabis / hemp traceability systems and compliance;and understand how to comply with California State Regulations, FDA GMP’s, OSHA regulations, our Client'sSOP's, and all applicable laboratory procedures.  Your prior team members would consider you an inspirational andcollaborative, data driven leader dedicated to setting the organization up forsuccess through continuous improvement.

Your backgroundshould include a Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Administration, SupplyChain Management, Logistics, or relevant degree and at least 5+ years ofexperience as an Operations or Project Manager in a manufacturing/distributionenvironment. You should also have at least 2+ year of experience managingpeople directly.  You have experience ininventory management, logistics, dispatch, warehouse, and facility maintenance.  You're known by your colleagues for beingdetail oriented and have experience in Microsoft Office, along with warehousemanagement systems. You have exceptional communication skills, enabling you toexplain (and you enjoy explaining) complex information to others. You bringwith you experience developing, implementing, and monitoring Standard OperatingProcedures and have general business administration skills  Experience with hemp or cannabis is preferredbut not required.
