Position Overview

The Firm is seeking to add a Legal Administrative Assistant to its Commercial Loan Transaction Banking team in our Uniondale, Long Island office. This position will be assisting in the coordination of commercial loan closing activities.


Job Duties:

  • Organize and catalogue documents pertinent to transaction closings.
  • Maintain filing system, ensuring accessibility completeness and accuracy of the database. 
  • Assisting attorneys in organizing and carrying out special projects as assigned or requested.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, financial institutions, title companies and opposing counsel. 
  • Review documents for completeness and accuracy before execution and recording. 
  • Enter billing information, maintain time records, and assist with invoicing as needed. 
  • Format, proofread, and revise legal documents related to lending transactions.
  • Perform document management, scanning, copying, and electronic filing using legal practice management software.


Requirements:

  • Four-year college degree is preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with UCC filings preferred but not required. 
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel. 
  • Strong academic background.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Must be conscientious, organized, detail-oriented and a team player.
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task. 


Compensation & Benefits

We offer a competitive salary, an excellent benefits package and a collaborative, friendly environment. 

The salary range for this role is $50,000-$70,000. Actual salary will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience.
