Position Overview: We are seeking a Paralegal to join a highly specialized Commercial Property Tax practice in our Uniondale, Long Island office. This position is best suited for an experienced legal professional who can oversee a high-volume, technically detailed caseload in a leadership capacity.


Job Duties

  • Support attorneys and other paralegals in managing a large and complex caseload of property tax filings, pleadings, and deadline-driven documents.
  • Review and organize property and valuation information from clients and other sources for attorney review and analysis.
  • Oversee and monitor case workflow process, track deadlines, ensuring matters remain organized and on schedule.
  • Prepare and coordinate filings and other form-driven documents with strict procedural and timing requirements.
  • Manage strict filing deadlines with limited supervision while appropriately flagging questions or potential issues to attorneys.
  • Work overtime on an as-needed basis.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Requirements

  • 5+ years of paralegal, or comparable legal support experience, ideally in sophisticated litigation, real estate or tax.
  • Experience managing high-volume matters with significant filing deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and prioritize competing demands without losing track of critical deadlines.
  • Ability to serve as an escalation point, assisting other paralegals with process-related issues.
  • Strong attention to detail and sound judgment; understands when an issue requires attorney input.
  • Excellent organizational, written, and communication skills.
  • Paralegal certification is a plus but not required.
  • A four-year college degree.

 

Compensation Range: $85,000-$110,000 is the salary range for this role. We offer a competitive salary, an excellent benefits package and a collaborative, friendly environment. Actual salary will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience
