JOB SUMMARY
Primary role is to serve and assist street homeless clients by completing the essential job functions and to maintain a safe and recovery focused program.Â

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Assist clients with completing all paperwork, applications, recertification’s, obtaining identification paperwork, making phone calls, using computer, email etc.Â
- Transport /Drive clients in Rescue Mission Vehicle as directed by Program Coordinator
- Provide needed housekeeping/cleaning as assigned by Program CoordinatorÂ
- Serve and clean up after client meals/snacksÂ
- Provide recreational programing for clientsÂ
- Maintain the safety and security of the facilityÂ
- Develop appropriate trust relationships with clients and maintain appropriate boundaries with the clients by upholding the regulations of the program and acting as a trusted source of support.
- Maintain effective communication with Coordinator and other staff members.
- Communicate crisis incidents, potential threats and other unusual incidents to Coordinators.Â
- Maintain documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Use/wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all timesÂ
- Assist in housekeeping duties daily. Â
- Abide by all Mission and program policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Attend and participate in regular meetings and trainings as requested.
- Maintain a professional and approachable attitudeÂ
- All other duties as requested by the program Coordinator

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONSÂ
- High School Diploma or GED
- Genuine desire to pursue a career in human services
- Experience working with special populations in the area of recovery, homelessness and mental illness preferred
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Clean/valid NYS Driver’s License preferredÂ
- Enthusiastic support of our Mission Statement

Status/Hours:Â Part Time, 11pm-7am
 Pay Rate: $16.50-17.50 hourly, DOE
