Client Aid

JOB SUMMARY

Primary role is to serve and assist street homeless clients by completing the essential job functions and to maintain a safe and recovery focused program. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Assist clients with completing all paperwork, applications, recertification’s, obtaining identification paperwork, making phone calls, using computer, email etc. 
• Transport /Drive clients in Rescue Mission Vehicle as directed by Program Coordinator
• Provide needed housekeeping/cleaning as assigned by Program Coordinator 
• Serve and clean up after client meals/snacks 
• Provide recreational programing for clients 
• Maintain the safety and security of the facility 
• Develop appropriate trust relationships with clients and maintain appropriate boundaries with the clients by upholding the regulations of the program and acting as a trusted source of support.
• Maintain effective communication with Coordinator and other staff members.
• Communicate crisis incidents, potential threats and other unusual incidents to Coordinators. 
• Maintain documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Use/wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times 
• Assist in housekeeping duties daily.  
• Abide by all Mission and program policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Attend and participate in regular meetings and trainings as requested.
• Maintain a professional and approachable attitude 
• All other duties as requested by the program Coordinator

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS 

• High School Diploma or GED
• Genuine desire to pursue a career in human services
• Experience working with special populations in the area of recovery, homelessness and mental illness preferred
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Clean/valid NYS Driver’s License preferred 
• Enthusiastic support of our Mission Statement

Status/Hours: Part Time, 11pm-7am

 Pay Rate: $16.50-17.50 hourly, DOE
