Job Summary:

We're building a center of excellence to support the world's largest and best professional ski patrol. The Operations Manager: Patrol, Center of Excellence (COE) serves as a key operational partner responsible for connecting Patrol COE strategy, enterprise initiatives, and resort execution. This role helps create alignment across stakeholders, supports implementation of Patrol COE programs, and develops the operational systems and processes that enable the organization to achieve its strategic objectives. 

Operations Managers serve as connectors across the patrol organization, partnering with resorts and enterprise teams to advance priorities, remove barriers, improve communication, and support successful program execution. This role works closely with Patrol COE leadership to strengthen organizational effectiveness, operational consistency, and long-term capability across the patrol network.

  • Starting Wage: $77,841.00 - $111,201.00 + annual bonus

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support execution of Patrol COE priorities by aligning stakeholders, tracking progress, managing dependencies, and ensuring visibility across workstreams.
  • Translate enterprise priorities into actionable plans, resources, communications, and operational processes that support successful implementation.
  • Partner with resort patrol leaders and enterprise stakeholders to identify challenges, resolve barriers, and maintain momentum toward shared objectives.
  • Act as a central point of coordination between COE programs, enterprise support functions, and resort patrol leadership.
  • Help identify opportunities to standardize processes, share best practices, and improve collaboration across resorts.
  • Assist leaders and stakeholders in implementing new programs, standards, tools, and ways of working across the patrol organization.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards, trackers, reporting tools, and documentation repositories.
  • Assist in developing standardized processes, tools, and systems that support a scalable centralized operations function.
  • Maintain documentation and reporting that supports operational visibility and accountability across patrol programs. 

 

Job Requirements 

  • Knowledge & Skills
  • Experience and appreciation of ski patrol operations, the ski industry, and mountain culture.
  • Strong communicator able to connect with frontline team members, resort leaders, and enterprise stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and align diverse stakeholder groups without direct authority.
  • Strong organizational, facilitation, and program coordination capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and navigate ambiguity in dynamic operational environments.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience developing processes, systems, and tools that improve operational effectiveness.
  • Strong business storytelling and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and collaboration tools. 

Required 

  • 3+ years of ski patrol, mountain operations, or related operational experience.
  • Current or previously held OEC, WFR, EMT, AEMT, Paramedic, or equivalent certification.
  • Experience leading projects, programs, operational initiatives, or teams.
  • Demonstrated success working across multiple stakeholder groups and organizational levels.
  • Ability to travel regionally and work in mountain environments.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build trust across diverse patrol cultures. 

Preferred 

  • Patrol supervisory or management experience.
  • Experience supporting enterprise or multi-site operational initiatives.
  • Experience developing dashboards, metrics, and operational reporting tools.
  • Experience facilitating training, workshops, or large stakeholder meetings. 

 

The expected pay range is $77,841.00 - $111,201.00 + annual bonus. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
