Hairstylist- Part Time, Salon/Spa (Harrah's SoCal)

This position is responsible for providing haircuts, styles, blow-outs, updos, and nail services in a professional and courteous manner while complying with all standard operating procedures. 

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient and courteous service to all guests.
• The ability to complete all hair services offered.
• Knowledge of hair care products sold and the ability to promote and sell them.
• Knowledge of other products and services offered at Harrah's Spa and Resort – including actively upselling products and services. 
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays. Perform other tasks as assigned by the Spa Leadership Team. 
• Participate and attend all education classes and staff meetings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completed and passed State Board of Cosmetology and Barbering 
• Two years’ experience in a hotel or resort salon preferred. 
• Must be able to initiate and engage in conversations in a professional and friendly manner. 
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to work well with others and as a team.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: 

• Able to item items up to 40 lbs.
• Must be able to stand for a long period of time (up to an average 10-hour shift).
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items. 
• Must have enthusiasm and possess excellent customer skills. 
• Must be able to work in a close-knit environment with constant co-work involvement.

Pay: $16.00 per hour plus 25% commission on services rendered

Preference is given to qualified Rincon tribal members and members of other federally recognized tribes.
