NJFC operates three production facilities: Northwest Packing in Vancouver, WA.; San Benito Foods, in Hollister, CA; and Toma-Tek in Firebaugh, CA. Ā

We are looking for aĀ Seasonal Seamer Operator to operate all controls on the vacuum syruper, seamer machines, and video jet at our Northwest Packing plant in Vancouver, WA. This is a seasonal position supporting our fresh pack season, typically August – November.

Key Responsibilities:Ā 

  • Always Promotes Food Safety Culture as a priority, in all situations, through conversations, communications and actions.
  • Operates ALL seamer machines. Ā 
  • Inspects cans for proper seams and level of topping.Ā 
  • Keeps seamer machine full of lids. Ā 
  • Records the counter number at the end of each product code.

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Comply with Food Safety Initiatives, monitoring and maintaining food safety in their areas of responsibility during food production as outlined in our food defense/intentional adulteration program.
  • Ability to communicate verbally effectively and perform work accurately and thoroughly.
  • Ability to be reliable - dependable and trustworthy.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test, and work extended hours, weekends, and any shift assigned during the fresh pack season, typically August to November.Ā
