Based in Venice, Florida, we specialize in the repair and overhaul of Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6, PW100, and JT15D hot section components.   SUMMARY:  The Machinist I will perform alteration tasks on aviation articles in accordance with the current technical data provided in the manufacturers’ Instructions for Continued Airworthiness, Services Bulletins, service letters, Airworthiness Directives, government and industry standard practices, and other data acceptable to or approved by the FAA.  In addition to that, the machinist will also develop, duplicate, and manufacture tooling equipment as required.  DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:  Prioritize components for repairs to ensure on time delivery requirements are met.  Apply specialty coatings to aviation components as required.  Ensures up-to-date knowledge of all tools and proper use of equipment within assigned area of responsibility.  Document maintenance records of all repair work orders performed.  Utilize precision measuring equipment daily.  Develop and duplicate tooling using engineering drawings.  Maintain inventory supplies for daily operation.  Inspect work completed on aviation components.  Operate manual lathe machines.  Operate manual milling machines.  Operate cut-off saws.  Operate band saws.  Operate bench grinders.  Operate belt sanders.  Operate drill presses.  Inspect work completed on aviation components.  Other duties as assigned.  QualificationsMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:   High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)  2-3 years of relevant/technical work experience.  Flexible to changing workloads/priorities based on customer requirements.  Maintain an orderly and productive work environment.  Ability to function in fast paced environment while maintaining a high level of quality.  Basic computer operating skills (Microsoft Word).    PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:  Associate degree  3+ years of work experience  1 year of machinist experience.    OTHER :    The selected applicant will be subject to a background check and drug testing.    #INDVSE
