Job DetailsJob Location: Vero Beach, FL 32963Position Type: SeasonalTo organize, supervise, instruct and coach in their assigned coaching area. Athletic Duties Conduct themselves in an ethical manner. Present themselves as a positive role model. Organize and conduct well-planned practice sessions. Assume supervisory role over all phases of the team’s program. Adhere to budget policies and procedures. Emphasize safety precautions and be aware of best training and injury procedures. Make recommendations to the Athletic Director in matters of scheduling. Attend and make contributions at Coaches’ Meetings. Recommend purchase of equipment, supplies and uniforms, as need demands. Promote that sport by prompt accurate score reporting to local media. Assume and take responsibility for constant care of equipment, facilities and uniforms being used. Arrange for the issuance of letters and special awards. Instruct athletes concerning rules, techniques, strategies and sportsmanship of the sport. Implement and enforce all policies and rules established by Athletic Department and Saint Edwards School. QualificationsPreferred Qualifications:  Bachelors degree in related field Prior experience coaching in assigned sport. Physical Requirements and Work Environment Works in a highly stressful environment dealing with a wide variety of challenges, deadlines and a varied and diverse array of contacts. Work in outside weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold. Tasks involve the ability to exert heavy physical effort in heavy work, including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling, and lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of moderately heavy objects and materials weighing 20 to 50 pounds
