Host/Hostess

Description

As a Host/Hostess, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere as they arrive at Westwood Country Club. Your key responsibilities include greeting guests, managing reservations, seating patrons, and ensuring that the dining area functions smoothly. You will also provide excellent customer service to create a positive dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet and welcome guests as they arrive with a friendly and courteous demeanor.

Manage reservations and maintain an organized waitlist during busy periods.

Escort guests to their tables and present menus, ensuring they are comfortable.

Monitor dining room activities to ensure efficient and timely service.

Answer phone calls promptly, taking reservations and providing information as needed.

Communicate wait times and special requests to the kitchen and serving staff.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand, front entrance area and lobby.

Assist bussers, servers and bartenders as needed to ensure a seamless dining experience, including helping clear tables, restock supplies and proved overall support during busy service periods.

Handle guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism and a positive attitude.

Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure a smooth flow of service.

Be knowledgeable about the menu, specials, and restaurant policies to assist guests effectively.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in customer service or the hospitality industry is preferred.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.

Ability to multitask and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
