Front Desk Receptionist

Job Type: Full-Time
Work Location: In Person

About the Role

Milestone Treatment Center is looking for an energetic, organized, and personable Front Desk Receptionist to help keep our facility running smoothly and create a welcoming experience for everyone who walks through our doors.

This is not a role where you'll spend the entire day simply answering phones. Our front desk is a busy, fast-moving hub, and we're looking for someone who enjoys variety, stays calm when several things are happening at once, and takes pride in being the person others can count on.

You'll interact with patients, visitors, and team members throughout the day while helping manage communication, scheduling, administrative tasks, and the day-to-day flow of the facility. In a treatment environment, professionalism and organization matter—but so do compassion, patience, and the ability to connect with people.

If you're someone who likes staying busy, solving problems, helping people, and keeping things organized behind the scenes, this could be a great fit.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as the welcoming first point of contact for patients, visitors, families, and team members.

  • Greet everyone professionally and help create a friendly, respectful environment.

  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls while providing courteous and helpful customer service.

  • Assist with appointment scheduling, calendars, and other front desk coordination.

  • Help maintain an organized and efficient flow throughout the facility.

  • Complete data entry, filing, documentation, and other administrative tasks accurately and on time.

  • Maintain organized patient and office records while respecting confidentiality requirements.

  • Assist with mail, office supplies, correspondence, and general office organization.

  • Communicate important information to the appropriate clinical or administrative team members.

  • Observe activity within the facility and promptly report concerns or unusual situations to the appropriate supervisor.

  • Support patients with appropriate non-clinical needs and help direct questions to the correct team member.

  • Assist with administrative projects and additional responsibilities as needed.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who can combine great customer service with strong organization and good judgment.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous receptionist, administrative, clerical, or office experience preferred.

  • Experience in a healthcare, behavioral health, medical, or treatment environment is a plus.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.

  • The ability to multitask and change priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • A professional and friendly phone presence.

  • Strong attention to detail when completing paperwork, data entry, and documentation.

  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and other common office technology.

  • The ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.

  • A dependable, team-oriented attitude and willingness to jump in when help is needed.

You'll Be Successful Here If You...

  • Enjoy interacting with different people throughout the day.

  • Can be warm and welcoming while still maintaining professional boundaries.

  • Notice the little things and take action before they become bigger problems.

  • Stay organized even when the front desk gets busy.

  • Are comfortable juggling phones, visitors, administrative work, and unexpected situations.

  • Communicate clearly and aren't afraid to ask questions.

  • Understand that working in behavioral healthcare requires patience, compassion, professionalism, and good judgment.

  • Like being an important part of a team rather than simply completing a list of tasks.

Why Join Milestone?

At Milestone Treatment Center, every position contributes to the work we do for our patients. The Front Desk Coordinator plays an especially important role because you're often one of the first people someone interacts with when they enter our facility.

You'll join a team-focused environment where your ability to stay organized, solve problems, and make people feel welcome truly matters. It's a great opportunity for someone who wants a role that is people-focused, fast-paced, meaningful, and never exactly the same from one day to the next.
