Role Overview
- The Electrician II plays a critical role in the installation, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of electrical systems used in ASC's custom-engineered power integration products. This position partners closely with fabricators, welders, mechanics, engineers, and production teams to ensure electrical systems are installed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with quality standards.
- This hands-on role offers exposure to a wide variety of projects, equipment, and technologies. Success in this position is measured through quality workmanship, attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to support manufacturing objectives while delivering reliable electrical solutions for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Install electrical components, wiring, conduit, panels, and control systems according to engineering specifications and project requirements
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation
- Troubleshoot electrical systems and identify effective corrective actions to resolve issues
- Perform electrical testing, inspections, and verification activities to ensure system functionality and compliance
- Assist with equipment startup, commissioning, and operational validation activities
- Support manufacturing operations by maintaining safe and reliable electrical systems throughout the production process
- Collaborate with production teams, engineers, and other trades to ensure timely project completion
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while supporting ASC's safety culture
- Follow all company safety procedures, electrical codes, and industry best practices
- Support field installations, service activities, and customer site projects as needed
- Accurately document work completed, inspections performed, and issues identified during production and testing
- Promote teamwork, accountability, quality, and continuous improvement throughout daily operations
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent vocational or technical training
- 0-10+ years of electrical experience in industrial, commercial, manufacturing, or related environments
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Commitment to safety, quality, accountability, and operational excellence
Preferred Qualifications
- Commercial or industrial electrical experience
- Journeyman Electrician License
- Experience with generators, switchgear, controls, or manufacturing equipment
- Experience working with both low-voltage and high-voltage electrical systems
- Experience bending and installing conduit
- Forklift, aerial lift, rigging, or material handling equipment experience
Physical & Work Requirements
- Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and move throughout the workday
- Ability to climb ladders and work in elevated or confined spaces when required
- Ability to safely work around energized electrical equipment and manufacturing machinery
- Ability to work in both indoor production and outdoor field installation environments when needed
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all safety requirements
