WORK SCHEDULE & DURATION

Work Schedule: 10-20 hours per week

JOB DESCRIPTION & RESPONSIBILITIES

Purpose: Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of events located in Waco Hall by providing behind-the-scenes support. Events include, but are not limited to, After Dark, All University Sing, Pigskin Revue, and Stompfest.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prior experience in technical or theatrical productions is not required to apply, training will be provided for technical expectations.

    • Deliver excellent customer service to clients and patrons of Waco Hall

    • Provide information and answer inquiries as needed

    • Assist with various tasks related to events and hospitality service

    • Maintain regular and punctual attendance

    • Ability to comply with University policies

    • May assist or coordinate various activities and tasks for execution of events or hospitality services
    • Provide excellent customer services to internal and external partners
    • May coordinate logistics to ensure all services are delivered on time and meet quality standards
    • May be a source to provide information, answer inquiries and resolve issues
    • May participate in meetings related to planning and coordinating events or hospitality services
    • May conduct presentations to provide updates to internal and external partners
    • May create feedback or event survey(s)
    • May collaborate with Marketing and Communications for branding and advertising
    • May identify and recommend improvements for events or hospitality services
    • May assist with outreach and promotion of upcoming services or events
    • Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission
    • Ability to comply with University policies
    • Maintain regular and punctual attendance

In a student employee capacity, may perform or assist with tasks in support of client-facing events, customer service operations, and/or guest experiences under an established timeline to meet objectives in support of successfully executing events.
