Description

  

The Kitting associate supports the production lines by ensuring workstations are continuously supplied with materials, tools, and components to minimize downtime and maintain efficient workflow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Picking Components: Locating and pulling individual parts, materials, or products from warehouse shelves based on a customer order. 
  • Assembly & Packaging: Grouping the components together, placing them into designated bins or boxes, and preparing them for transit staging into a designated area. 
  • Quality Verification: Ensuring that kits are complete, accurate, and meet customer or production line specifications.
  • Inventory Management: Updating Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), maintaining an organized staging area, and restocking component inventory as needed. 

Key Skills & Requirements

  • High Attention to Detail: Essential for verifying part numbers, ensuring correct quantities, and avoiding picking errors.
  • Physical Stamina: The ability to stand/walk for long shifts, and frequently bend, reach, and for lift packages (up to 25 pounds).
  • Basic Computer/Scanner Literacy: Familiarity with scanning devices or computer terminals to track inventory and kit assemblies.
  • Teamwork: Coordinating with inventory managers, supervisors, and other fulfillment associates to meet daily production quotas. 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Forklift certification is a plus.
