Rolling Suds of Central Rhode Island · Full-time · Rhode Island
$50,000 – $70,000 base + commission, with an ownership track
About the role
We're building a commercial kitchen exhaust cleaning division and want one experienced person to run it. You'd be the GM: you run the crews, the schedule, the compliance and the client relationships, and you share in what you build.
This is a ground-floor role. You'd be setting up a business line, not stepping into an established one.
What you'll do
- Run day-to-day hood cleaning operations: scheduling, crews, quality and safety.
- Lead, train and grow a crew that works overnight and off-hours around restaurant schedules.
- Make sure every system is cleaned and documented to NFPA 96 standards, including service reports, certificate stickers and deficiency notes.
- Own client relationships with restaurants, QSR operators, institutional kitchens and property managers.
- Build and grow the client base, both from your own network and from new accounts.
- Help choose the equipment, set the pricing and write the processes for the division.
What you bring
- Hands-on commercial hood and exhaust cleaning experience. You've done the work.
- Leadership experience. You've run a crew or a team and held them to a standard.
- Working knowledge of NFPA 96 (Standard for Ventilation Control and Fire Protection of Commercial Cooking Operations), including cleaning frequencies, inspection and documentation.
- Comfort dealing with kitchen managers, fire marshals and insurance requirements.
- A valid driver's licence and availability for overnight and weekend work.
- Bonus: existing client relationships you can bring with you, where you're free to do so.
Compensation
- Base salary of $50,000 – $70,000. Where you start depends on three things:
 a. your hood cleaning and leadership experience,
 b. how deep your NFPA 96 knowledge is, and
 c. the client relationships you bring.
- Relationships are rewarded when they sign. The part of your base that reflects relationships is confirmed as those accounts come on board. We review it at 90 and 180 days, and your base steps up as committed relationships become active, paying accounts.
- Commission on the revenue you bring in and grow.
- Ownership track. If you bring a strong book of established relationships, you can earn an ownership stake in the hood cleaning division. The stake is sized on the quality and number of accounts that actually come across.
What's in it for you
- You run it. You'd be GM with real authority over how the division operates.
- Room to grow. You'd build the division and the team, and your pay and stake grow with them.
- We don't only work. Enjoy football games, company outings and entertainment as additional benefits.
To apply
Send your résumé and a short note covering how long you've been cleaning hoods, the size of the team you've led, and, if it applies, the kinds of accounts you work with today. Everything is kept confidential.
