We are seeking experienced EPIC Consultants to support various healthcare organization's ongoing implementation, optimization, enhancement, and support initiatives across the US. Consultants will collaborate with clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders to analyze workflows, configure EPIC applications, provide recommendations, support testing and training activities, and help drive successful project outcomes.  These are contract opportunities ideal for professionals with strong healthcare IT experience, deep EPIC knowledge, and a proven ability to work effectively in complex healthcare environments.

 

Multiple locations across the US.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze current-state clinical, financial, and operational workflows and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Gather business and technical requirements from stakeholders and translate them into EPIC system solutions.
  • Configure, build, test, and optimize EPIC applications in accordance with organizational objectives and EPIC best practices.
  • Participate in implementation, upgrade, optimization, and support projects.
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings, workflow assessments, and solution design sessions.
  • Develop and execute test plans, test scripts, and validation activities.
  • Support integrated testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and go-live readiness efforts.
  • Create and maintain project documentation, build specifications, workflow diagrams, and training materials.
  • Provide end-user support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including clinicians, IT personnel, project managers, vendors, and leadership.
  • Assist with change management, training, and adoption initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, privacy requirements, and organizational standards.

Qualifications

 

Required

  • 5+ years experience preferred, 2-3 years minimum
  • Current EPIC certification, accreditation, or proficiency in one or more EPIC applications.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Some exposure to healthcare IT, healthcare operations, or EPIC consulting / system.
  • Experience supporting healthcare organizations, hospitals, health systems, physician groups, or ambulatory care environments.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare workflows and operational processes.
  • Experience with system implementation, optimization, upgrades, or support projects.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation abilities.
  • EPIC building experience

Preferred

  • Experience with large-scale healthcare transformations or enterprise implementations.
  • Prior consulting experience in healthcare environments.
  • Experience working in remote and hybrid project environments.
  • Knowledge of healthcare interoperability, reporting, analytics, or integration technologies.

Work Environment
