About the Role:
We are adding an Assistant Superintendent to support day-to-day field operations with a focus on self-perform work. This role works closely with the Superintendent to help manage crews performing process piping, setting equipment, and placing concrete. You will help keep work moving safely, on schedule, and in line with project plans while learning how to lead field operations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2–5 years of experience in heavy civil, industrial, mechanical, or water/wastewater constructionÂ
- Basic understanding of jobsite safety and OSHA standardsÂ
- Ability to read and interpret plans and specificationsÂ
- Willingness to work in the field and take on increasing responsibility
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with water or wastewater treatment plant construction
- Exposure to self-perform work such as earthwork, process piping, process equipment setting, or concrete
- Experience working with field crews or subcontractors
- Interest in growing into a Superintendent role
Responsibilities:
- Support the Superintendent in managing daily field operationsÂ
- Help coordinate work involving earthwork, piping, process equipment setting, and concrete placementÂ
- Assist with maintaining short-term schedules and daily production goalsÂ
- Ensure work is performed safely and in accordance with plans and specificationsÂ
- Help identify and communicate field issues to avoid delaysÂ
- Track manpower, materials, and jobsite progressÂ
- Assist with daily reports and jobsite documentationÂ
- Coordinate with field crews, subcontractors, and project teams
