Job Summary:
This position will independently plan and perform corrective and preventive maintenance on complex electronic intrusion detection systems.  You will serve as an expert in intrusion detection systems that include video (IR and day), access control (card readers and keypads), RADAR perimeter security, intrusion detection (PIR and BMS), mass notification equipment and a variety of communication networks. 

Roles and Responsibilities:

Typical duties include:

  • Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on intrusion detection and surveillance systems of various types and manufacturers
  • Recommend solutions to design problems.
  • Perform system tests and analyzing results, modifying equipment or installations to improve performance.
  • Ability to climb ladders up to 8 feet in height and safely ascend/descend as needed.
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing approximately 25-40 pounds
  • Comfortable performing tasks in overhead work positions for extended periods.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen. Must have the ability to obtain and maintain an active Secret clearance.
  • High school diploma/GED; or equivalent combination of training and work experience.
  • Must have as a minimum, (8) eight years hands-on experience in the field of electronics.
  • Experience must include operational, maintenance and team lead work assignments. 
  • Previous Intrusion Detection System experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in electronics technology or a two-year civilian technical electronics curriculum or a four-year trade apprenticeship-training program in electronics or graduate of a military Class "A" electronics school. 
  • Working knowledge of multiple systems to include:
  • AMAG alarm monitoring and access control systems
  • DMP alarm monitor and reporting systems
  • FLIR RADARs and cameras
  • Genetec NVRs
  • Pelco cameras, DVRs, and video switchers
  • Networking protocols TCP/IP, network hubs, switchers, server connectivity
  • Windows Servers
  • Cisco Switches
  • Fiber communication equipment
  • WAVES MNS
  • Southwest Microwave Intrepid fence sensors
  • MS Server, Windows, Cisco, Security + and/or Tower Climber certifications a plus but not required

Compensation: $75,440.00 - $113,160.00. The salary range posted is for Maryland locations. The offered rate will be based on contract affordability, the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience, and in consideration of internal parity.
