Join Our Cadre – Emergency Response Professionals

Potential Deployment Opportunities | HHS Emergency Repatriation Program

We are currently building a cadre of qualified professionals to support potential deployments for the Emergency Repatriation Program within the Office of Human Services Emergency Preparedness and Response (OHSEPR), U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). Selected candidates will support emergency response operations at Ports of Entry (POEs) and Emergency Repatriation Centers (ERCs) during disaster or crisis activations. These roles support incident management, operations, planning, and case management functions.

This is an opportunity to join a standby deployment roster (cadre) for rapid response operations.

Open Positions

Incident Management & Planning

  • Planning Section Officer (IMT)
  • Planning Specialist (IMT)

Safety & Behavioral Health

  • Behavioral Health Specialist (ERT / IMT)

Resource & Case Management

  • Case Manager Team Lead (IMT)
  • Repatriation Case Manager (IMT)

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience
  • Ability to deploy
  • Availability for deployments lasting 30–60 days (rotations based on current operational tempo)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to pass a background check

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with FEMA, HHS, emergency management, or disaster response operations
  • Experience working within the Incident Command System (ICS)
  • Previous federal emergency response deployments

Language Skills (Highly Desired)
