About the Opportunity

DMI, LLCĀ is seeking a Oracle EPM Specialist 3Ā to join to support the Budget and Forecast processes for Capital, Personnel, and Operating budgets within the EPM Planning applications. It will design and implement enhancements to the Capital and Operating planning modules based on requirements from the Office of Management and Budget. The role will also support integration updates that connect EPM Planning to Oracle HCM Cloud as part of the Digital Modernization initiative. Additional responsibilities include developing the Operating Position Budget using the Public Sector Planning and Budgeting (PSPB) module, as well as maintaining and managing metadata for Oracle EPM Planning and Oracle Fusion applications through EDMCS.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain enterprise metadata repository.
  • Create and maintain data models (logical and physical) at the enterprise level and lower.
  • Support Budget and Forecast processes for Capital, Personnel, and Operating Budgets for EPM planning applications.
  • Use modeling and metadata tools to reverse engineer database structures.
  • Support the definition and decision process to designate conformed dimensions for the enterprise data warehouse.
  • Support data governance effort in the proper allocation and usage of data sources.
  • Maintain and support the integrations from PeopleSoft HCM/FSCM into EPM Planning using Data Exchange.
  • Create and maintain extensive metadata documentation.
  • Create and disseminate informational materials regarding the data management function.
  • Support data stewards and other stakeholders, as needed.
  • Maintain metadata using Oracle Enterprise Data Management (EDMCS).
  • Build various SmartView templates for data loading and financial analysis.
  • Support integration updates for connecting EPM Planning to Oracle HCM Cloud as part of Digital Modernization Projects.

Qualifications

Education and Years of Experience:Ā Ā 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Engineering, or in a related discipline
  • Level 3 (Senior-level): 10 or more years of experience with major responsibility for metadata management and modeling.

Required Skills & Certifications:Ā 

  • Support Budget Book Development using Oracle EPM Cloud Narrative Reporting.
  • Experience creating or maintaining an enterprise data warehouse and/or related data marts.
  • Experience with one or more of the following systems: Maximo, PeopleSoft HCM/FSCM.
  • Develop reports for Operating and Capital applications using Narrative Reporting.
  • Experience in the transit industry.

Additional Requirements:

  • Experience in entity relationship modeling.
  • Experience in dimensional and DMR modeling.
  • Experience with metadata management for large models (200 or more entities).
  • Experience assisting development teams and database administrators in creating, understanding, and using enterprise metadata.
  • Experience implementing and maintaining ESRI ArcGIS software and Oracle RDBMS, which are the metadata and modeling tool(s) currently in use; and
  • Support Budget and Forecast processes for Capital, Personnel, and Operating Budgets for EPM planning applications.
  • Support development of Operating Position Budget using the Public Sector Planning and Budgeting Module (PSPB).
  • Excellent communication skills.
