SAIC is seeking Systems Engineers to join the Machine-assisted Analytic Rapid-repository System (MARS) Advanced Development Operations (DevOps) and Sustainment Support (ADOS) program and provide on-site technical and administrative support to facilitate operations of critical MARS infrastructure and services. This effort focuses on providing a comprehensive set of System/ Software Engineering and IT Services to maintain, sustain, enhance, and improve/ modernize MARS. This position will be located in the National Capital Region.


Please note that this is contingent upon contract award, with an anticipated decision expected by Winter/ Spring 2026.


The Systems Engineer responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Manages and guides the operations, maintenance, and sustenance of both hardware and software components within the MARS environment.
  • Lead system interoperability testing, ensuring operational data compliance, and supporting the Government during system onboarding activities.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to document and maintain all necessary system support actions and licenses.


  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
  • One of the following certifications: Certified Network Defender, SecurityX/ CASP+, CCSP, Cloud+, CSSLP, GDSA, GSEC, CISSO, CISSP-ISSAP, CISSP-ISSEP, GCIA, GCLD, GICSP.
  • Bachelors degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or Software Engineering and 9 years or more relevant experience; Masters and 7 years or more relevant experience; PhD and 4 years or more relevant experience (will consider an additional 4+ years of relevant experience in lieu of degree).
  • Extensive experience in leading system engineering efforts, developing complex systems, and managing engineering processes.
  • Proficiency in performing system analyses, conducting requirements gathering, and developing system documentation.
  • Strong understanding of model-based systems engineering (MBSE), cloud computing, and cybersecurity.
