Snapshot of the Role

Husco is seeking a detail-oriented Designer to support the development of innovative products and customer applications. Working closely with the Engineering team, you will create and refine component designs, drawings, and solid models while ensuring products meet performance, quality, and manufacturability requirements. This role is ideal for someone with strong CAD experience, a mechanical design background, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. 


What You’ll be Doing:

  • Create, maintain, and improve component drawings and 3D solid models 
  • Partner with engineers to develop new product concepts and design layouts
  • Ensure designs meet functional, manufacturing, tolerance, and quality requirements
  • Evaluate design alternatives to improve performance, reduce costs, and optimize manufacturability
  • Support engineering change requests, drawing revisions, and product updates
  • Set up new projects and maintain engineering documentation and databases 
  • Build expertise in new products, components, and design applications 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and customer applications


What You’ll Need:

  • Associate’s Degree (or equivalent military or formal training) in Mechanical Design or Mechanical Engineering Technology. 
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience using CAD technology
  • Thorough understanding of engineering drawing practices, ANSI standards, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
  • Hydraulics and pneumatics experience preferred. 
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
