SUMMARY OF POSITION:  


This position will work on first shift.  


Individual must work closely and effectively with engineering, sales, and operations to achieve Waukesha Foundry’s overall objective of on-time quality parts manufactured safely and profitably.  


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The primary Responsibilities include:


•    Project management responsibilities: Help verify casting designs from customers, design pattern equipment for new orders, design and interpret solidification simulations results, and follow orders through the shop to ensure proper and efficient processing.

•    Technical Review of purchase orders to ensure shop processing instructions meet customer requirements.

•    Develop detailed process instructions for legacy jobs.

•    Communicate process instructions clearly to the shop floor and help with any issues.

•    Work with customers and outside vendors as needed.

•    Estimating processing requirements for castings being quoted to assist sales.

•    Analysis of casting/scrap defects to assist with corrective actions and process improvements.

 



EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

•    Bachelors degree in Engineering, or a related field

•    Prior experience preferred

•    Experience with CAD/CAM software and basic understanding of GD&T

•    Solidification simulation experience

•    Industrial blueprint reading skills


SCOPE:

Position reports to the Engineering Manager.
