The Industrial Design Co-Op studentĀ participatesĀ in projects to support graphic and industrial design needs of project teams throughout the Generac organization working on product development,Ā innovationĀ and marketing. Design outputs could include computer or hand drawn renderings,Ā illustrations,Ā physical prototypes, 3-DĀ modelsĀ and other forms of samples. This professional will gain valuable experience producingĀ high qualityĀ deliverables under project timelines and budgets with multiple projects.Ā 

Essential Duties andĀ Responsibilities:Ā 
Ā * Assist in all phases of product development, translating innovation to concepts and working with project teams to bring concepts to production.Ā Ā 
* Assist in the creation and implementation of VBLĀ documentation.Ā Ā 
* Execute against VBL and brand strategies at a product and category level while constantly ensuring brand and product guidelines are being met....LessĀ

Minimal Qualifications:Ā 
Ā * Current enrollment in a degree-seekingĀ Bachelor'sĀ level program in Industrial Design or related fieldĀ 
Ā 
Preferred Qualifications:Ā 
Ā * Exposure to SolidWorks, CREO, or equivalent CAD software, Adobe CreativeĀ SuiteĀ and Procreate to develop various concepts that clearly and effectively communicate design intent.Ā 
* Excellent skills in communication and creativity. Problem solving skills are important as work is bothĀ teamĀ based and individual, depending on the specific project.Ā Ā 
* Must work a minimum of 35 hours per week for the full term.Ā Ā 
Ā 
Physical demands:Ā 
While performing the duties of this job, the employeeĀ is regularly required toĀ talk andĀ hear;Ā and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employeeĀ is regularly required toĀ stand and walk. OnĀ occasionĀ the incumbent mayĀ be requiredĀ to stoop,Ā bendĀ or reach above the shoulders.Ā The employee must occasionallyĀ lift upĀ to 25 pounds.Ā Specific conditions of this job includeĀ are typical of frequentĀ and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, closeĀ visionĀ and ability to adjust focus.Ā OccasionalĀ travel.Ā
