At Bay View Shade & Blind, we're looking for a mechanically inclined, hands-on individual who has experience using hand and power tools and is ready to develop those skills into a long-term career.

Our Installation Experience Specialists install high-end, custom window treatments in beautiful homes and businesses. It's a skilled, hands-on position that combines precision, craftsmanship, problem-solving, and customer interaction.

You don't need previous window treatment installation experience. We will teach you our products, installation methods, and standards. But you should already have a working knowledge of basic tools and feel comfortable using them.

We're looking for someone with a foundation of practical skills, a strong work ethic, and the drive to become really good at what they do.

What You'll Do

• Install custom window treatments in high-end residential and commercial environments
• Use hand and power tools to complete accurate, professional installations
• Measure, level, align, drill, mount, and finish products with precision
• Learn specialized installation techniques and develop your technical skills
• Troubleshoot installation challenges and find practical solutions
• Work directly with customers and communicate professionally throughout the installation
• Respect the customer's home, belongings, and personal space
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and leave every project looking finished and professional
• Work alongside our Sales, Design, Production, and Operations teams to deliver an exceptional customer experience

The Experience We're Looking For

This position is best suited for someone who has already spent time working with their hands and has developed some practical mechanical or trade skills.

You might come from construction, remodeling, maintenance, cabinetry, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, furniture assembly, or another hands-on environment.

We're looking for someone who:

• Has hands-on experience using basic hand and power tools. You should be comfortable using a drill/driver, tape measure, level, and other common tools.
• Understands basic measuring, mounting, fastening, and assembly techniques.
• Has good mechanical instincts and enjoys figuring out how things work.
• Takes pride in craftsmanship and producing quality work.
• Is comfortable working independently while contributing to a team.
• Can think through problems and make good decisions when things don't go as planned.
• Is personable and comfortable interacting with customers in their homes.
• Presents themselves professionally and understands the importance of first impressions.
• Is dependable, organized, and takes ownership of their work.
• Pays attention to details others might overlook.
• Is motivated to learn, improve, and develop into a highly skilled installer.
• Has a valid driver's license and an insurable driving record.
• Can lift up to 80 lbs. and safely work on ladders.

Window treatment experience is not required. Practical tool experience is.
