Description

Position Summary: This temporary seasonal position is responsible for receiving grain and running the scale operations. Working closely with mill operations and customers, this position helps ensure the accurate receipt of grain and compliance with quality assurance standards. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greets and directs incoming traffic to the office.
  • Serves as the primary scale operator for inbound grain deliveries, accurately weighing grain trucks and maintaining receiving records.
  • Accurately sample and test inbound grain and record results.
  • Communicates with Landus Grow team about contracts and customer positions.
  • Serves as liaison between Landus and Grain customer to ensure all needs are met.
  • Completes safety training timely.
  • Follows all Animal Welfare policies and practices and informs management of any violations by staff.
  • Follows bio-security measures according to Bio-Security Policy, including animal movement, visitor access, sanitation, and disease prevention measures.
  • Follows all safety rules and practices and ensures others do the same.
  • Supports, promotes, and adheres to policies, procedures, and values of Passel Farms and industry standards.
  • Regular, punctual and consistent attendance is essential for this position.
  • Other duties as may be assigned to fulfill responsibilities of this position and support team goals.

Requirements

Qualification: Proficiency in Microsoft Suite. Highly organized with strong attention to details. Ability to envision possible future problems or obstacles. Comfortable reacting to changes in schedules and expectations.

Working Environment: This temporary position is primarily office-based within the feed mill with primary hours being evening and weekend during the busy harvest season. There will be some variation in work hours due to employee schedules, harvest and weather along with other concerns. The use of required personal protective equipment in certain areas.
