Join us in making a meaningful impact in Weirton, West Virginia! Help serve meals to people in our community. As a part-time Food Service Worker, you'll support the Table of Hope Kitchen one scheduled day a week and cover extra shifts as needed. You'll organize and stock supplies, prepare and serve food, and work alongside community volunteers to run the Table of Hope meal program.

Responsibilities

• Run the kitchen on your assigned day each week, including stocking supplies, food prep, and food service
• Cover additional days as needed, including for scheduled or unplanned absences
• Work with community volunteers to carry out the program
• Help the Lead Worker with documentation, such as volunteer sign-in sheets and patron counts
• Help run the kitchen in line with local health department food service standards
• Keep the kitchen, dining area, and bathrooms clean
• Pick up donations when needed and accept donation deliveries
• Work with the manager and support staff to keep the program effective
• Follow all safety policies

Qualifications

• Experience working with people from diverse backgrounds, people with disabilities, or people with other barriers to employment preferred
• Able to work well with co-workers, volunteers, and the people we serve
• Basic computer skills, including the internet, Microsoft Office, and smartphones
• Organization and time management skills, with attention to detail
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Hancock County Health Department Food Service License (or able to obtain one)
• Food handling certification from the Mountaineer Foodbank (or able to obtain one)
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance, with regular proof of insurance
