Job Description

CDIT is seeking an experienced Senior Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to support large-scale, enterprise database environments. This role will be responsible for the administration, engineering, performance, security, and availability of Oracle database solutions. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise across Oracle Database, RAC, RMAN, Exadata, Data Guard, and Enterprise Manager, with the ability to independently design and implement solutions for complex, mission-critical environments.

Responsibilities

  • Administer, maintain, and engineer Oracle Database environments supporting enterprise-scale systems.
  • Design and model database solutions based on technical and customer requirements.
  • Support Oracle RAC production environments and deployments.
  • Manage database backup and recovery operations using Oracle RMAN.
  • Administer and support Oracle Exadata environments.
  • Configure and maintain Oracle Data Guard and high-availability solutions.
  • Support database security technologies, including Oracle Database Vault and Label Security.
  • Monitor database health, availability, and performance using Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control.
  • Perform database migrations, upgrades, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
  • Analyze customer requirements and translate business and technical needs into scalable database solutions.
  • Identify potential performance, availability, and security issues and implement appropriate solutions.
  • Collaborate with technical teams and customer stakeholders to design and implement integrated enterprise solutions.
  • Maintain technical documentation, configurations, and operational procedures.


Requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 10+ years of Oracle Database Administration and engineering experience supporting large-scale or enterprise environments.
  • Extensive experience with Oracle Database 10g through current versions.
  • Strong experience with database design, modeling, migration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
  • Significant hands-on experience with Oracle RAC and RMAN backup/recovery.
  • Experience with Oracle Exadata.
  • Experience with Oracle Data Guard and/or Database Vault.
  • Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control.
  • Knowledge of Oracle database security and Label Security.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (FSP).

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale, highly available Oracle architectures.
  • Experience integrating database solutions within full-stack enterprise architectures.
  • Familiarity with GOTS, COTS, IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS environments.
  • Experience providing technical leadership on complex IT implementations.
  • Experience translating complex customer requirements into technical solutions.
  • Experience supporting secure, classified, or mission-critical environments.
