Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Tax Analyst to join the Legrand North America Team based in West Hartford, CT or Remote.
This role reports to a Tax Manager and offers exposure across federal, state, and international tax, with opportunities for progression.  Responsibilities include income tax compliance, accounting for income taxes, international tax and supporting tax audits and various projects.  The tax team combines independent problem-solving with strong collaboration across functions.Â
Responsibilities
As a Senior Tax Analyst you will:Â
• Manage assigned subsidiaries throughout the year by communicating directly with their accounting teamsÂ
• Review and prepare federal and state standalone and consolidated returns, including assisting with US related international calculations and formsÂ
• Compile and review data for, and assist with, international-related calculations and returns including Foreign Tax Credit, Subpart F, Gilti and E&P, as neededÂ
• Manage state notices and support state audits for assigned subsidiaries, with supportÂ
• Support quarterly and annual ASC 740 processes, including deferred taxesÂ
• Work on and support special projects and process improvementsÂ
• Research tax issues and prepare supporting analysis, as requiredÂ
• Train, support, and mentor Tax AnalystsÂ
Qualifications
Education:Â
• Bachelors’ degree in Taxation or Accounting is required and a Master’s Degree and / or CPA is preferred
Experience:Â
• 3 + years’ direct tax experience in corporate taxÂ
• Public accounting (Regional or Big 4) and / or multinational corporate tax experience consideredÂ
• International tax interest or experience preferredÂ
• Manufacturing experience preferredÂ
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:Â
• Strong Excel skills are imperativeÂ
• Ability to adapt to evolving tax technology and automation initiativesÂ
• Experience with Thomson Reuter’s OneSource Tax Compliance Software is a plusÂ
• Experience with Alteryx is a plusÂ
• Requires strong organizational and time management skills with close attention to detailÂ
• Requires the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and highly sensitive material Â
• Must be highly collaborative and able to work in a team-based environment, but also successfully work independentlyÂ
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skillsÂ
• Independent judgment is required to evaluate situations, identify options and suggest solutions Â
