Role: Reporting directly to the Chief Clinical Officer, you will direct, plan, and manage all professional inpatient therapy services necessary to facilitate the functioning of the Physical Therapy Program. The Director of Inpatient Therapy coordinates physical rehabilitation and other patient care services on an inpatient basis.  The Director of Inpatient Therapy focuses on increasing management effectiveness by implementing and maintaining appropriate human resource goals, procedures, and activities as well as monitoring outcomes and customer satisfaction in each of the inpatient therapy programs.  The Director of Inpatient Therapy develops, implements, and monitors Performance Improvement/Quality Management Plans to ensure integration into the Hospital’s clinical therapy practice. The Director of Inpatient Therapy recommends programmatic and procedural adjustments to enhance treatment programs and more efficiently meet the needs of the patients/residents with a concentration on high quality, cost effectiveness and customer satisfaction. The Director of Inpatient Therapy will also ensure inpatient therapy services compliance with Department of Health, Joint Commission, Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, and any other regulatory agencies.

Requirements

Preferred Qualifications: Board Certified Clinical Specialist in area of clinical practice (PT, OT, SLP).  APTA board certification by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS), American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) advanced specialty certification, Speech Language Pathology advanced Board Certified Specialist (BCS) by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). Current active surveyor for CARF International. Strong experience and understanding of acute and skilled nursing rehabilitation operations, regulatory requirements, The Joint Commission standards and surveys, and interdisciplinary care models.  Knowledge of CMS, CARF and state regulations.  Ability to align clinical programs with organizational goals, quality metrics, and financial performance.  Ensures compliance with documentation, admission criteria, and quality reporting standards.
