Registered Nurse Supervisor I (Rehab)- Administrative Support

Actsas administrative link and supervises the overall provision of nursing care onall inpatient disability units. In the absence of theDON, serves as aresource. Collaborate with and support the Nurse Managers and NursingSupervisors, including engagement during off-shift hours. Will require working off-shifthours as directed to ensure consistent employee support, leadership visibility,and engagement across all shifts. Supervise and oversee Nursing Staffingoffice. Provides supervision to employees; workswith Nursing Administration to plan, establish and assure achievement ofdepartment goals, policies and procedures.  Prepare for annual DOH Survey.  Coordinates all nursing/patient activities;collaborates with Infection Prevention Nurse, Staff Development Coordinator,Nursing Performance Improvement Coordinator, MDS Coordinator and Director ofQuality/Outcome Management and other NAI’s as indicated.  Direct line responsibility for projected andimmediate staffing, covers absences on all shifts as necessary.  House supervision on a rotating basis.  Completes probation reports, annualevaluations and submits LATS in a timely manner.  Works closely with the Human ResourcesDepartment regarding employee relations and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Possession of alicense and current registration as a registered professional nurse in New YorkState; and two years of post-licensure clinical nursing experience in an acuterehabilitation, acute inpatient critical care, or medical surgical setting.

A bachelor’sdegree in nursing can substitute for one year of post-licensure clinicalnursing experience.
