Job DetailsJob Location: Corporate HQ - Emser Tile LLC - Los Angeles, CA 90069-4209Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $300,000.00 - $350,000.00 SalaryEmser Tile is seeking a seasoned General Counsel/ Vice President of Human Resources to provide enterprise-wide leadership of the Human Resources function. Reporting to the CEO, this role is responsible for the design, execution, and governance of HR strategy in alignment with the company’s business and people objectives. This role requires a strong business leader as well as a seasoned HR executive. The VP of HR will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, ensuring the organization is positioned to attract, develop, and retain high-performing talent while maintaining operational excellence and regulatory compliance. Primary Responsibilities Develops human resources strategies designed to meet employee needs while aligning with the organization's goals and mission. Advise executive leadership on organizational design, workforce planning, talent management, change management initiatives, and succession planning Provide oversight of talent acquisition, succession planning, leadership development, and employee engagement strategies Direct employee relations practices, ensuring consistency, fairness, and adherence to company policies and legal requirements Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws, with a strong emphasis on risk management and mitigation Oversee the design and administration of compensation, benefits, and performance management programs to ensure competitiveness and alignment with market standards Lead culture initiatives to support a high-performing and inclusive workforce Drive continuous improvement of HR systems, policies, and processes to enhance efficiency, scalability, and data integrity Develop and manage HR metrics and analytics to inform strategic decision-making Provide leadership, direction, and development to the Human Resources team, fostering a culture of accountability and operational excellence   Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline required Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred Juris Doctor (JD) strongly preferred Minimum of 15 years of progressive Human Resources leadership experience, including at least 10 years of executive-level responsibility Extensive knowledge of employment law, regulatory compliance, and best human capital management practices Demonstrated ability to influence executive leadership and contribute to strategic business outcomes Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities Experience within manufacturing, distribution, or a related industry preferred   QualificationsEmser is an equal opportunity employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind.
