Copper Hills Youth Center, located in West Jordan, Utah, is a residential treatment facility (behavioral health care) serving male and female 12-17 year olds who have been diagnosed with psychiatric disorders.  Copper Hills Youth Center promotes healing and strengthens relationships by providing extraordinary care in a trauma informed environment.  Through personal accountability, effective communication, integrity, respect and teamwork, we enhance the lives of youth, their families, our employees and the community.

 

JOB SUMMARY: Manages and directs maintenance and housekeeping programs to ensure the maintenance of a safe, clean, healthy physical environment for patients, staff and visitors of the organization. Serves as Facility Safety Officer and is also responsible for the management of all functions of the maintenance and housekeeping departments and safety committee and for all related issues in compliance with Corporate guidelines, federal, state, and local regulations and accrediting agencies.  This position will also perform basic maintenance responsibilities along with the team.

Qualifications

Your skills and experience will include:

 

Education: Must have high school diploma, Bachelor's degree preferred

Certifications: related certifications preferred

 

Experience:

  • Five years' experience in a related position
  • Must have 2+ years supervisory experience
  • Must be familiar with OSHA standards for the facility environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Capable of operating independently, effectively and self-motivated
  • Able to analyze, plan and follow-through for maximum effectiveness
  • Able to effectively use a variety of computer programs, including Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with Joint Commission and CMS guidelines for Environment of Care preferred

License: Must have a valid driver’s license with clear driving record.
