Manufacturing and Sales Engineering Lead

Position Summary

PRISMECS is seeking a Manufacturing and Sales Engineering Lead to support the connection between manufacturing operations, engineering, and customer-facing commercial activities.

This role will serve as a key technical interface between Manufacturing and Sales/Commercial teams, helping ensure customer requirements and commercial commitments are technically feasible and aligned with PRISMECS' manufacturing capabilities.

The Manufacturing and Sales Engineering Lead will support technical solution development, customer requirements, proposal activities, manufacturing feasibility, estimating, and coordination across internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Serveas the technical bridge between Manufacturing, Engineering, andSales/Commercial teams.
  
• Supportthe Vice President of Manufacturing with manufacturing engineering prioritiesand technical requirements.
  
• Reviewcustomer technical specifications, drawings, scopes of work, and projectrequirements.
  
• Assistin developing technical solutions that meet customer needs while remainingpractical for manufacturing and project execution.
  
• Providetechnical support during the development of proposals, quotations, estimates,and customer presentations.
  
• Providetechnical input for material, equipment, labor, fabrication, and manufacturingestimates.
  
• Helpevaluate new opportunities for technical and manufacturing feasibility beforecommitments are finalized.
  
• Identifytechnical risks, scope gaps, manufacturing constraints, and potential executionchallenges during the proposal and planning stages.
  
• Participatein customer meetings, technical presentations, clarification meetings, andproposal discussions as needed.
  
• Coordinatewith Manufacturing, Engineering, Commercial, Project Management, Procurement,and Operations teams.
  
• Supportthe transition of awarded opportunities from the sales/proposal stage intomanufacturing and project execution.
  
• Helpensure technical requirements, assumptions, exclusions, and customercommitments are clearly communicated during project handoff.
  
• Supportmanufacturing process improvements related to efficiency, quality, costeffectiveness, safety, and delivery.
  
• Assistwith technical reviews, manufacturing feasibility assessments, and engineeringevaluations.
  
• Supportdevelopment and standardization of technical specifications, procedures,templates, and manufacturing documentation.
  
• Workcollaboratively with suppliers, vendors, customers, and internal teams ontechnical requirements as needed.
  
• Providetechnical leadership and problem-solving support for assigned opportunities andprojects.
  
• Maintaineffective communication between customer-facing teams and internal technicalteams.
  
• Travelto customer, supplier, manufacturing, or project locations as businessrequirements dictate.
  
• Performother related manufacturing, engineering, and technical-commercialresponsibilities based on business and project needs.
  

Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor'sdegree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, ManufacturingEngineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field preferred.
  
• Equivalenttechnical education and relevant industry experience may also be considered.
  
• Experiencein manufacturing engineering, technical sales, sales engineering, industrialequipment, or a related technical environment.
  
• Strongunderstanding of manufacturing processes and engineering principles.
  
• Abilityto review technical specifications, drawings, scopes of work, and customerrequirements.
  
• Experiencesupporting proposals, quotations, estimating, or technical-commercialactivities preferred.
  
• Abilityto translate customer requirements into practical technical and manufacturingsolutions.
  
• CADexperience required across both electrical and mechanical disciplines usingAutoCAD, Autodesk Fusion, Mastercam, SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, or similarsoftware.
  
• Computer-AidedManufacturing (CAM) experience preferred.
  
• Abilityto run and interpret integrated Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and revisedesigns based on analysis results required.
  
• Abilityto run and interpret Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis and revisedesigns based on analysis results preferred.
  
• Stronganalytical and technical problem-solving skills.
  
• Strongwritten and verbal communication skills.
  
• Abilityto communicate effectively with customers, manufacturing personnel, engineers,project teams, vendors, and leadership.
  
• Abilityto coordinate multiple priorities and work across departments.
  
• Strongattention to quality, safety, cost, and delivery requirements.
  
• Mustbe able to work on-site in Odessa, TX.
  
• Mustbe authorized to work in the United States.
  
  

Preferred Experience

• Experiencewithin power generation, energy, industrial equipment, electrical systems,rotating equipment, or related industries.
  
• Experiencein project-based or engineered-to-order manufacturing environments.
  
• Customer-facingtechnical or sales engineering experience.
  
• Experiencesupporting manufacturing estimates, technical proposals, and project execution.
  
• Previoustechnical leadership or lead-level experience preferred.
  

TheManufacturing and Sales Engineering Lead will initially report to the VicePresident of Manufacturing, and will work closely with Manufacturing,Engineering, Commercial, Project Management, Procurement, and Operations.
