We set the benchmark for high-acuity procedures in an outpatient setting nationwide. Our commitment to pioneering medical advancements is showcased through our state-of-the-art outpatient surgery centers and full-service clinics. DISC Surgery Center is seeking a Per Diem Sterile Processing Tech for our West Palm Beach location. In this position, you will: Assists with the preparation of the operating room for surgical procedures. Assist with skin preparations and with draping of patients Assists with care, preparation, maintenance, and after-care of sterile and un-sterile supplies and equipment. Removes drapes at the end of the procedure, cleanses the patients of prep solution, and applies dressing as needed. Clean and disinfect instruments and equipment after use Participate in sponge, instrument, and needle count with the circulating nurse. Assists with stocking, replenishing, and preparation of supplies. Checks updated schedule every morning and prepares room supplies and equipment  Back up materials manager in placing orders for supplies and implants QualificationsIn this position, you will: Maintain instruments and equipment Prepare instrumentation, equipment, and sterile supplies for scheduled surgical procedures. Provide patient care to meet identified patient outcomes and achieve the center's goals as directed by the Administrator/Director of Nurses To ensure success in this role, you should have: Prior experience as a Sterile Processing Technician Certification in Sterile Processing Understanding of sterilization and high-level disinfection technologies, including industry-standardized principles and practices in sterilization and disinfection Current BCLS Certification The ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl and lift   Why Should You Work Here: Nationally Recognized Surgeons: Join a team of surgeons with national recognition in the fields of spine and sports medicine.
